At Pup Pup & Away, we want every pet parent to do what they feel is right for their pet’s health. To keep everyone safe and healthy, we have some requirements and recommendations.

Required: Every pet must go through our Orientation Assessment (see below) regardless of their socialization history. This will allow our trainers to place your dog in the socialization program best for them.

Required vaccinations: All pets must be up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. We also accept titers! Speak to your vet about what is best for your pet

• Rabies – We accept 1-year and 3-year vaccinations
• Distemper and Parvo – We accept 1-year and 3-year vaccination
• Bordetella – We accept 6-month and 1-year vaccinations

Highly Recommended vaccinations: It would be a great idea to also have the following vaccinations. Speak to your vet about what is best for you and your pet

• Canine Influenza
• Leptospirosis

**We also accept titer tests for all required and recommended vaccinations to replace vaccination. All paperwork must have the date of the titer test and state how long results should be valued

All pets are required to be clear from any vomiting, diarrhea, sneezing or coughing within 24 hours of their next visit

All pets must be outfitted with his or her own snap-release buckle collar with name tag (the same buckle you would find on a fanny pack)

Orientation Assessment Packages

All pets are required to be temperament tested through our Orientation Assessment regardless of their socialization history. Dogs who have visited other daycare facilities have been known to require additional training to be accepted into our program as we have a higher standard of the type of play and behaviors we allow.

Daycare Orientation Package- $225

Our Daycare Orientation Package is a mandatory 4-day process for all new sidekicks joining any of our socialization programs. During this time, our experienced dog trainers will assess your pup’s temperament and play style, evaluate existing behaviors, and teach them the “rules” of our playgroups (no jumping, waiting at gates and doors, etc.). This process also helps us determine the best socialization program for your dog, while giving them time to adjust to their new environment and make new friends.

Your dog will be paired with a trainer for gradual introductions to dogs of similar size and temperament, progressing at their own pace. Once socialization is complete, our trainers will work on reinforcing key behaviors, including:

• Responding to recalls (“come”)
• Properly stepping back from gates and doors
• Sit-stays when exiting kennels
• Appropriate play skills
• Desensitization to collar handling

Boarding/Training Orientation Package- $75

For pups interested in boarding, or participating in one of our day training or board-and-train programs, our Boarding/Training Orientation Package offers a 2-day introduction to our facility and staff. This allows your dog to become familiar with the space, routines, and people they will interact with, setting them up for a successful stay or training session.
